Essential Medical Supplies relief work

Essential Medical Supplies relief work

In order to reach out to more people, MITGF signed an MoU with NRNA to collaborate and ensure medical supplies and assistance during the blockade that took place within a few months of the Great Earthquake of April 2015 in Nepal. The group worked in consultation with representatives from the Government of Nepal to determine the list of essential medicines/drugs and other supplies. Once the list was finalized, the supplies were bought and distributed in the community hospitals throughout Nepal.

Mr. Ghale, as the president of NRNA ICC and the CEO of MITGF, led the NRNA Emergency Crisis Management team who were responsible for coordinating the project. He was also present during the handover of the 4 lots of medical supplies to the hospitals.

MITGF provided NRP 10 million (approx AU$135,000) for the project out of which Rs.5,231,245 was utilized for their immediate relief with the remaining returned to the foundation for other relief works. The project wouldn’t have been successful without the support and assistance of the Government of Nepal.
